Velocity's show name comes from a quick game of word association. He was adopted with the name Concept Valor, which I shortened to Val in my head once, leading me to the name of Val Velocity from the Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killyjoys comics. He then got the call name Velocity, and "valor" returned in the show name Stolen Valor, referencing Val Velocity's arc of trying to co-opt Party Poison's persona.
